2006 marked the first year the Midland Festival Meet was held at the new Midland Civic Arena. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this meet a success! It was great to see skaters in Midland from Windsor, Ontario and all across lower Michigan.

MSSC hosted Jim Karnes of
Sports Timing USA at the Midland Festival Meet, who was testing photo finishing equipment for use at the upcoming Olympic Winter Games. If you look closely, maybe you'll see the very same system at the snowboarding event
in Italy!
